KPK Energy Saving Policy 2026

KPK Energy Saving Policy 2026 – New Business Hours & Electricity Saving Rules

The KPK Energy Saving Policy 2026 has been introduced by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to tackle energy shortages. This new policy focuses on limiting unnecessary electricity consumption by enforcing strict closing times for businesses and restricting non-essential lighting.

According to the official notification, all commercial markets and shopping plazas in divisional headquarters, including Peshawar, must close by 9:00 PM. In other districts, shops are required to cease operations by 8:00 PM under the new regulations of the KPK Energy Saving Policy 2026.

Dining establishments such as restaurants and cafés are mandated to shut down by 10:00 PM, along with wedding halls and event venues. However, food delivery services are allowed to continue operating beyond these hours, providing some flexibility for businesses and consumers.

A key component of the KPK Energy Saving Policy 2026 is the strict ban on unnecessary lighting and excessive electricity usage. This measure is aimed at reducing wastage and ensuring more efficient energy utilization across commercial and public spaces.

These directives have been formally issued by the Chief Secretary Office Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure immediate compliance throughout the province.
